Removal of Tattoo in Boca Raton
The Removal of a Tattoo in Boca Raton
Most people do not think about the long-term implications and repercussions when getting a tattoo, and in many cases, it becomes a decision they regret. It is estimated that 50 percent of people with tattoos eventually want them removed. The Rendon Center in Boca Raton FL can help make your body art history. Advances in laser therapies have made the removal of tattoos possible.
How it works
The laser targets the pigment in the ink breaking it up using a high-intensity beam of light. Black ink is the easiest to remove because it most readily absorbs the laser’s energy, so it is the first color to disappear from your design. Different colors of ink respond to different wavelengths. The size and colors of the design affect how many laser sessions will be necessary, and how long they will take. Generally, the sessions are about six weeks apart to give the skin time to heal.
Who is a good candidate?
Anyone who has a tattoo they want to remove is a candidate. Your practitioner at the Rendon Center will create a custom treatment plan for you. This will be based on the size and number of colors in your tattoo.
Previous forms of tattoo removal were not always completely effective and often left traces of the pigment behind. Patients who tried these previous laser therapies and found that it did not completely remove all of the ink can benefit from the advances in technology.
There is a variety of home remedies, but they are not recommended. The best-case scenario is a minimal lightening of the tattoo and worse case is scarring. Even if you have tried one of these remedies, the Rendon Center may still be able to help you. They may be able to remove the remaining ink, and depending on the type and extent of the scar tissue, they may be able to treat it as well.
If you have a tattoo that is a constant reminder of a bad decision, or that is interfering with your career, call the Rendon Center at 561.750.0544 or fill out the form on this page today and schedule a consultation.
