Boca Dermatology Anti-Aging and Aesthetics
Boca Area Practice Offers Aesthetic Services & Anti-Aging Benefits
The team at Rendon Center for Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine works closely with patients to help them understand the best possible options for anti-aging and aesthetics. Boca Raton area patients often visit our board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Marta Rendon, to find out the many options available for cosmetic treatment.
When patients are seeking anti-aging solutions, they have a wide range of treatments that can be used in helping them achieve more youthful-looking skin. Below are just a few of the more common services used to do just that!
Botox and Dysport are both neuromodulators. Botox has been used for many decades for medical use, and in the last decade or so, has also been used for cosmetic enhancement. These neuromodulators work by reducing muscle contractions, so when they are injected into the muscles of the face, they can smooth out dynamic wrinkles around the eyes and the upper third of the face.
Another popular adjunct to Botox and Dysport injections or as a standalone treatment is dermal fillers. There are several brands available, but most are made of hyaluronic acid and are administered directly into the fine lines and wrinkles of concern for immediate results. Using dermal fillers provides approximately six months of improvement and patients can continue to have them applied to slow the signs of aging and enjoy better skin texture.
Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Using laser devices is a great way to rejuvenate the skin and address poor texture and tone, as well as reduce the depth of fine lines and wrinkles. We have many FDA-cleared devices in our practice for use in rejuvenating the skin and allowing patients to enhance their natural beauty quickly and easily.
Microdermabrasion is a treatment that uses a special device that utilizes small crystals against the skin for exfoliation. It can remove the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and reveal more brilliant, beautiful skin.
Chemical peels also work in a similar fashion as microdermabrasion, removing dead skin cells and stimulating collagen production for more youthful looking skin. Instead of using a device, chemical peels are applied to the face using special ingredients for skin cell turnover.
