Skin Care Research, Inc., is a basic and clinical research organization with 14 years experience. Our mission is to assist pharmaceutical and start-up companies to successfully bring new study medications to the market place by providing the highest quality and most cost-effective clinical trials. We are also active in the development of new ingredients and herbal products for use in dermatology and skin care. At Skin Care Research, Inc., we specialize in conducting phase I, II, III and IV clinical research trials and in designing and developing original studies. Investigator Experience Marta I. Rendon, MD, FAAD, is a world-renowned physician and researcher and has acted as principal investigator in numerous trials. She lectures national and internationally and has authored many book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Rendon is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Now chief executive officer of Skin Care Research, Inc., she is the former chair of the Department of Dermatology at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Fort Lauderdale. She is board-certified in dermatology and internal medicine, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, president and founding member of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, a board member of the Skin of Color Society, and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Clinical Research Experience Skin Care Research, Inc., conducts clinical studies that gather the most accurate and comprehensive clinical data for customers developing consumer and medical products. An efficient team of dedicated researchers ensures quality operations. Patient recruitment is optimized by the use of a computerized database, which allows us to conduct studies quickly and efficiently. For this reason, we have been chosen as a clinical research site for numerous dermatological studies. Median enrollment in these studies has exceeded 40 subjects, with 99% compliance.
Patient Demographics With access to more than 100,000 patient encounters per year, including 25,000 new patient encounters per year, our clinical database is large. Our patient population is unique and varied, and consists of males and females of Caucasian, Hispanic, African-American, Asian and other backgrounds.
