On February 23 our distinguished doctor and founder of the Rendon Center for Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine was awarded the prestigious DIAMOND Award (which stands for Dedicated, Inspiring, Accomplished, Motivated, Outstanding, Noble, Driven,) by the Boca Raton Chamber of Commence. The esteemed "DIAMOND” Award luncheon honors a woman who has achieved successes in her respective field and makes a difference in the Boca Raton Community. Annually it is presented to a woman who inspires others to follow and to maintain the quality of life we have here in Boca Raton. Dr. Marta I. Rendon was humbled and most appreciated to accept this auspicious award.
The award ceremony was held at the Boca Raton Marriott Hotel; "American Idol" finalist and Boca Raton resident, Brett Loewenstern delighted the 300 attendees with his marvelous rendition of the National Anthem. Dr Rendon was pleased to be joined by previous DIAMOND Award winners Margaret Mary Shuff, Cheryl Budd, Mary Wong, Rocki Rockingham and Victoria Rixon.

Dr. Rendon was not the only winner, The Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce granted 12 year old Rebecca Zerbo with a YEA (Young Entrepenuer's Academy) $1000 Scholarship from Office Depot Foundation for her creation of Positive Pocket,--business-card-sized bits of personal affirmations that can give anyone a boost.

“Nothing gives me more pleasure than giving back to the community,” said Dr. Rendon in her acceptance speech. Her numerous commitments to charitable organizations include the Spirit of Giving Network, Sorptimist, the Junior League and the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation and the Florence Fuller Child development Center.
Boca Raton, Fla. (January 24, 2012) The Rendon Center for Dermatology & Aesthetic Medicine partnered with The Spirit of Giving Network for a month long “True Beauty: An International Art Exhibition”; a small part of an extraordinary collection belonging to an anonymous private collector exhibited at Mizner Park in Boca Raton. The VIP Reception, held Thursday January 19, 2011 was a resounding success. This one time opportunity to view the art benefits the 60-plus charities in the Spirit of Giving Network (a collaborative, non-profit organization with a focus on children and families in Southern Palm Beach.)
In attendance were the featured artists, patrons and sponsors to enjoy a tremendous selection of diverse paintings and drawings. Additionally, a silent auction was held at the close of the evening for several select pieces that were on display. Proceeds were donated directly to the Spirit of Giving Network. “We were delighted to be a part of the event, the evening was quite memorable,” said Marta I. Rendon, MD, event co-sponsor. “The artists were all in attendance to personally discuss their work, which made the experience extra special for our attendees.” The Spirit of Giving Gallery will be open in Mizner Park through the month of January from 11 am- 8 pm daily and all are welcome.
The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce’s Successful Women In Business or "SWIB" program was created to provide women the opportunity to network with other women business leaders on a regular basis.
Dr. Marta I. Rendon participated in SWIB's fabulous Favorite Things event, where she discussed the latest and greatest advancements in the world of Dermatology.
